The making of
Craftsmanship & Care
The slow, deliberate part nobody usually shows you. This is how a Lumière piece comes to be, and how to keep it shining.
From rough to ready
Four hands, several weeks, one piece.
We choose the stone
Every gemstone is hand-selected for cut, colour and clarity before anything else happens. If a stone does not earn its place, it does not make it into a setting.
We shape the metal
Bands and settings are formed in recycled gold, then filed and trued by hand so the proportions are right and the piece sits comfortably.
We set by hand
A jeweler sets each stone under a loupe, bending and burnishing every prong individually so the stone is secure and the light gets in.
We check, then check again
Before a piece is boxed it is inspected twice, polished, and weighed against the spec. Only then does it earn the Lumière name.

The materials
Only what we can stand behind.
Our diamonds are conflict-free and independently graded. Our gold is recycled and refined to standard. Our pearls are responsibly farmed and matched by hand for lustre.
None of that is a marketing line. It is the paperwork we keep on file for every order, and the reason we can offer a lifetime guarantee without flinching.
Looking after it
Treat it well and it will outlive the trend.
Everyday wear
Put jewelry on last, after perfume, lotion and hairspray. Take rings off before washing up or the gym.
Storage
Keep pieces apart so they do not scratch each other. The pouch your order arrives in is made for exactly this.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild soap and a soft brush brings the sparkle back. Skip it for pearls, which prefer a soft dry cloth.
Want us to handle it? Every piece includes complimentary cleaning and prong-tightening for life.
